Buying a used car – how can I check the original window sticker?

I’m looking at a used car, and I want to make sure it has all the factory options the seller claims. I read somewhere that you can get a copy of the original window sticker using the VIN, but I don’t know where to find it.

Do dealerships provide this, or is there an easier way to check online? I just want to confirm everything before buying the car. Any advice?
